Why do Toronto Police Constantly Get Away with Perjury?
Gone are the days where the courts could just accept a Police Officer's word (over a defendant) based on the fact that he/she is a Police Officer.
This is now the case because Police have shown in countless examples that they have no problem with lying and perjuring themselves in court to try and put away people they know they arrested via illegal means.
Whether it's "Resisting Arrest", or like in this latest case, lying and saying that evidence was found in "plain view", Police show over and over that they have no fears about lying under oath and giving false testimony.

Hey Rogers, How About Passing Tax & Fee Savings to Customers?
Forgive me oh mighty Rogers, for I know not what I do...
You know, It's funny... When there's new taxes or fees from the Government on Telecoms like Rogers Communications Inc., without a second thought, they pass it right on down to the Customer (ex. CRTC backs TV over cable in fees dispute). I mean, how dare the Government even try to tax companies like Rogers who are pulling in millions every day?? And how dare we expect that Rogers would eat some of those taxes and fees, instead of milking us Customers for it every time?...
But, if things were reversed, and the Government suddenly decided to reduce the Taxes or Fees on Telecoms, would those Tax & Fee Savings get passed right on down to the Customer as well? Not bloody likely, if you heard what Rogers CEO Nadir Mohammed had to say recently.

TTC Passenger Robbed While "Passenger Assistance Alarm" Failed to Operate (Yellow Strip)
Apparently, while 79-year old Yusuf Hizel was getting robbed on the TTC subway by 2 thugs, Kurt Larcher, a passenger who was seated nearby, pressed the "Passenger Assistance Alarm" yellow strip but it failed to set off the alarm.

James Cameron Dismisses Clash of the Titans 3-D as "Stupid Stuff"
James Cameron dismissed the Movie Clash of the Titans' 3-D as "stupid stuff that’s going to hurt this burgeoning [3-D] marketplace", as Warner Brothers chose to use a short-cut seven-week post-processing technique to convert Titans from 2-D into 3-D.

McGuinty Screws the Natives with HST and Blames the Feds??
Yes, yes, more manipulation from Mr. McGuinty...
First Nations members in Ontario have been receiving a "point-of-sale PST Exemption" up until now, but with the HST coming in on July 1st, the PST and GST turn into HST, and therefore since there's no more PST, there's no more tax exemption for the Natives.

Statistics on Pregnancy Risks based on a Woman's Age When Pregnant
It is well known that women these days aren't having babies as early in their lives as they use to in the past.
This means that women are getting pregnant much later, and therefore are put at the risk of having issues with their pregnancies, and/or having their babies born with birth defects.

Mayor Miller's Legacy of Bike Lanes Means Toronto Traffic is Doomed...
Yes, yes, it seems that Mayor Miller and his moronic band of merry Councillors are trying to get in anything and everything they can in a last ditch effort before they're tossed back into oblivion come election time.
Their final ploy: Bike lanes.
What a disaster these Bike lanes are going to be for Toronto... I mean, how can anyone in their right mind think that removing car lanes and replacing them with bike lanes, is going to improve traffic congestion??
It's just stupidity in it's greatest form...

Justice Trotter Shows Weakness in Sentencing of Corrupt Toronto Health Inspector
Superior Court Justice, Gary Trotter, let the people of Toronto down today when he let a Corrupt Toronto Health Inspector who was running an Extortion racket, get away with a slap on the wrist.
Yet another example of our Justice System failing when it comes to the Prosecution of Corrupt Government Officials.

US Justice System Should NOT Grant Leniency to Michael Douglas' Son
Now, let me first say that I am a huge fan of Michael Douglas, Kirk Douglas, and Catherine Zeta Jones.
That being said, even though I feel sorry for them, that is just not a good enough reason for their son to not have to serve the full sentence of 10 years for the crimes that he has committed.

Toronto Council Blows $50k on Study Designed to Give Themselves Raises...
Did you hear about this yet?
Toronto City Councillors have hired a consulting firm for $50,000 to determine via opinion surveys to the Councillors themselves, whether they and the Mayor should be getting pay raises next year...
Have you ever heard of any arrangement that's more corrupt than that? And obviously decreasing salaries or freezing salaries isn't one of the available options...
Well, apparently this isn't anything new, as they did the same thing last election in 2006, except they blew $90,000 on that "study". This is just another example of a disgusting corrupt hypocritical waste of Toronto tax payers' money by our City Council...

Website Etiquette Rule #1 - Don't Play Sound Without the Visitor's Approval
So, you're at work. You're on your computer taking care of something. Maybe you're copying something, or you're loading something, or whatever it is, you have a few extra seconds, so you decide to take a quick look at the headlines on one of your bookmarked websites.
All of a sudden, the speakers from your computer (which you forgot to mute), blare some kind of something or other, and everyone in the entire office is looking at you.
Immediately they assume that you're slacking off and not doing any work. And that's not true. You're just patiently waiting for a computer process to finish, and you decided to do a quick relaxation-multitask, but regardless, it's too late, you're busted. And it's all thanks to that unwarranted and unapproved sound from the website you so loyally decided to visit.

Oh, 3-D this and 3-D that, and oh, I need a 3-D TV, oh, I need to watch Avatar in 3-D and Clash of the Titans in 3-D, and yada yada crap...
All of this 3-D crap is such over-hyped and over-advertised drama, especially for a feature that's nothing more than a gimmick..

Now That's TTC Customer Service!!
Oh TTC... What can you do? Every single time you try to do something positive to improve the TTC's public image, here we go again, another TTC Driver does something stupid and screws everything you had hoped to achieve...
It gets harder and harder everyday to hide what's really going on over there, eh? ;) Yes, yes... Don't worry, we all know...
The latest was the news today of a TTC Driver Assaulting a teenager on a TTC Bus by Lawrence and Bayview.

McGuinty Crushes Mayor Miller's Legacy of Magical Fantasy
So, that's it. With one quick quote from Dalton McGuinty, David Miller's hopeful magical fantasy of a legacy is changed from a Transit Mayor who left Toronto with a minor 3% property tax increase and no TTC fare increase in 2011, into a double-digit tax increase for 4 consecutive years, a TTC fare increase still to be determined, and countless already started and never to be completed Transit projects across the city! Thanks Mayor Miller, you've done it once again!

TTC, Your Apologies are Worthless to Toronto TTC Riders
If I had known that this TTC Town Hall meeting was just going to be a, "we're sorry but, it's mostly not our fault (TTC Workers Union), it's the TTC's fault (TTC Management)" fest, then I wouldn't have wasted my time tuning in to this propaganda session on a Sunday afternoon...
The last thing that I'm interested in doing is giving the TTC Union, as well as their scumbag Union Head Bob Kinnear, an opportunity to "move on" and get "closure" from the public, so that they can go forward feeling that the public outcry over the TTC is finally resolved.
And I hope that for those who attended, this didn't end up making them feel better, because truly, this solved nothing except try and gain some kind of sympathy for the TTC Union, a union which deserves nothing of the sort.

McGuinty Re-Election in 2011 = 15% HST in Ontario... Bet on it!!
The worst thing to ever happen to Ontario -Dalton McGuinty- is confident about his triple-crown re-election in 2011 against 2 rookies (PC Leader Tim Hudak and NDP Leader Andrea Horwath), and that spells bad news for Ontarians...

Toronto Budget Chief Shelley Carroll is Anti-Family and Anti-Children...
Budget Chief Shelley Carroll is the exact opposite of Robin Hood, being that she has constantly shown her intentions to steal from the poor and give to the rich.
With her constant screw-ups as the Toronto Budget Chief, its anyone's wonder how she hasn't resigned out of shame in her obvious inability to perform the role.
Her latest stupidity finds her pushing for the tax revenues generated from the new Toronto Billboard Tax to go towards the Arts, and not towards the families and children who have been slapped by the latest Toronto City Budget which plans to increase property taxes and user fees on almost everything in the City of Toronto.

Toronto Maple Leafs-Covering Journalists have Nothing Left But Spin...
I'm referring namely to The Toronto Star's Damien Cox, whose blog is appropriately titled, "The Spin", as well as his fellow TML-covering colleagues at the Toronto newspaper.
Like most Toronto Maple Leafs fans, I am completely disappointed, ashamed and disgusted with the Team's performance not only this year, but over the past 5 years... It's true, the Leafs are five for five over the past five years in NOT making the playoffs... A new kind of streak that we can be sure the Leafs will only increase over the next few years...
But you wouldn't think so if you read Damien Cox's or his colleagues' pro-Leafs (the franchise) propaganda columns in the Star... I say "the franchise" because it almost seems like based on their columns, they're working for the Toronto Maple Leafs, as they - just like the Leafs' front-office - continue to shamelessly promote a failing and disgraceful team, who really have not much to show to justify them deserving our attention and money...

Toronto Sunshine List in Excel! Here's the link, courtesy of jackandcokewithalime...
As I'm sure you all know, the 2010 Ontario Sunshine List (list of Public Sector Employees who made $100,000 or more in 2009) came out yesterday and is available for everyone to review. In case you are looking for that list, it can be found at the following Ontario Government website link: Public Sector Salary Disclosure 2010 (Disclosure for 2009).
Now, unfortunately the Government provides the various lists of Employees in PDF files which are nice to read, but make it almost impossible to do any kind of quick analysis and slicing & dicing of the data.
Well, I took the liberty of pulling all of the City of Toronto data out of that Ontario Sunshine List (essentially creating the Toronto Sunshine List) from the Municipalities and Services PDF (a section contained in the Salary Disclosure), and I spent a challenging few hours converting it into an Excel file.
