The Infamous Baby Smoking a Cigarette Video is Here...

Today there's been all kinds of rabble going around about a video of a baby who is smoking a cigarette so casually, one would think that he'd been smoking for years...

Ardi Rizal is the name of the 2 year-old baby, and apparently this baby smokes 40 cigarettes a day! :O

Here's the video in case you missed it:

Toronto Cyclists Making Corrupt Politicians Look Good

How, you ask? It's a simple matter of cause-and-effect and blatant exploitation... Let me explain.

Au Revoir Montreal Canadiens...

Je suis très Désolé Les Habitants... Très, Très, Très Dèsolè! ;)

Mais Oui, I am relishing in your defeat as a Torontonian... I just can't help it. It comes so natural as a Leaf fan... Can you blame me?

jackandcokewithalime Quoted on Rocco Rossi For Mayor Website!

Farewell Jack and 24... Can't Wait for the Movie!

Well, that's it. The end of 24, the TV Show... It's a sad, sad day for 24 fans, unlike Lost fans, who were counting down the days until that show ended...

Snoop Dogg Has a Reason to Support the Toronto Maple Leafs...

"Yeah, 'cause the Maple Leafs remind me of a chronic leaf and I was representing that, you know what I'm saying? I didn't know the Canada flag was so close to the chronic leaf; I just liked the way it looked so I was representin' and it was blue.", Snoop Dogg said in reference to him choosing to sport a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey in 1993 on the Arsenio Hall show.

Jim Kenzie's Comments on Toronto Cyclists are Classic!

I came across a couple of articles today from Jim Kenzie, the Toronto Star's Chief Auto Correspondent, where he scolded Toronto Cyclists and Pro-Bike Anti-Car supporters for their unreasonable expectations from Toronto Motorists.

And as a Toronto resident who drives to work every day, I thought his comments were just classic!

Obviously if you're a bike enthusiast and anti-car supporter, you probably won't find the same amusement that I did from his articles. But I'm sure that won't stop you from taking a look anyway...

Here are the links to the 2 articles. Take a look if you get a chance:

Scumbag Toronto Moving Companies Finally Shut Down, Hopefully...

A band of scumbag Moving Companies have been terrorizing Torontonians with a horrible scheme whereby they take an initial deposit for moving you, and then hold your belongings hostage for huge additional expenses once they get to your destination. If you decline, they charge you to take your stuff back. So either way, if you don't pay more, you don't get your stuff.

And until the Toronto Star did an investigative report on it, the Toronto Police did nothing about it. In fact, they were taking the side of the Moving Companies.

Rob Ford: "No, no, no and no" to Toronto BOT's New Tax/Fee/Toll Ideas

The Toronto Board of Trade released it's discussion paper The Move Ahead: Funding “The Big Move” yesterday which basically outlined 16 ideas that the BOT has for new revenue streams in the City of Toronto (and Hamilton). These new revenue streams would ideally go towards supporting new Transportation Infrastructure in the GTA aimed at easing Traffic Congestion.

Is Sarah Thomson a Wasted Seat in Toronto Mayoral Debates?

Relax Sarah Thomson boosters, it's just a question!  And a fair question if you ask me...

After her sad sad performance last night in the first televised Toronto Mayoral Debate of 2010 (Toronto 2010 Mayoral TV Debate #1 - Here's the Video Link...), are you really surprised that this subject has come up?

The thing is, we have 26 Candidates for the next Mayor of Toronto (2010 Mayor of Toronto Election - Official Candidates List. Here's the link.), and given that including more than 6 candidates in these debates would be utter chaos (if it's not already), we need to carefully select the key candidates that Torontonians need to hear from. -And after last night, that definitely isn't Sarah Thomson.

Toronto 2010 Mayoral TV Debate #1 - Here's the Video Link...

The first televised 2010 Toronto Mayoral Debate took place today on CP24, and other than the constant annoying interruptions from the CP24 staff and moderator, it was a pretty good show.

If you didn't get a chance to watch it, CP24 has the full debate video available to be viewed for free on their website at the following link:

Hey "Shady Joe" Pantalone, only Criminals Call People "Snitches"...

While Rob Ford is busy out there cleaning up the City of Toronto's Corrupt and Tax Evading City Councillors and City Staff, "Shady Joe" Pantalone accused him of being "snitch".

You know, when you think about it, only criminals and guilty people call whistleblowers "snitches" when their wrongdoings are outted.

Councillor Paula Fletcher's Stupidity Finally Helps Toronto!

Toronto City Councillors held a vote today on the horrible idea of putting bike lanes on University Ave., and for the first time in a long time, they voted the right way and made the right decision for Toronto: No bike lanes on University!!!

Smitherman Shamefully "Playing the Gay Card": Toronto Gay Community

If George Smitherman feels secure that he has the vote of the Toronto Gay Community in his bid to be the next Mayor of Toronto, he better think again.

Apparently, members of Toronto's Gay Community are disgusted with the way Smitherman has been "Playing the Gay Card" in his Mayoral Campaign, and as a result, they've shifted their support behind another candidate, namely, Rob Ford.

Toronto House/Condo Price Assessments on Google Map (MPAC Census)

If you're looking to buy a House (Detached, Semi-Detached), Townhouse or Condo in Toronto, then you definitely need to see this tool that's been provided by the Toronto Star on their website (link provided below).

It is basically an Interactive Google Map which shows the prices of Toronto Houses and Condos as provided by MPAC (Municipal Property Assessment Corporation) via the latest census they did in 2008.

The map shows the varying prices by different colour shades, it allows for the map to be filtered by property type (house-detached, house-semi-detached, townhouse, condo) and the map can be zoomed in upon in order to get more detailed Toronto area pricing.

In a Toronto Mayoral Debate today held by the Toronto Real Estate Board at 11am, Rob Ford said that if he is elected as the next Mayor of Toronto, he vows to abolish the Land Transfer Tax as well as the Vehicle Registration Tax!!

Rob Ford, why can't you just become Mayor right now? ;)

Who are the Jamaican Shower Posse?

Ever since the raids that took place this morning all around Toronto (Toronto Star:  Raid exposes international crime group), there's been a lot of talk in regards to a Jamaican gang called the Shower Posse.

After doing some looking around, I found that BET had filmed a great documentary on the Jamaican Shower Posse as a part of their American Gangster series. Luckily, I found the actual video online at BET.com, and it is available to watch for free.

Here's a link to the video:

FACT: Aliens Contacted Earth via the "Wow! Signal" on Aug 15th 1977...

Over the past week or so, I've been watching every Stephen Hawking documentary I can get my hands on, and in the latest one that I watched (Into the Universe with Stephen Hawking - Aliens), Hawking mentioned the "Wow!" radio signal that was captured via a SETI (Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence) project at The Big Ear radio telescope of Ohio State University on August 15th, 1977 (Wikipedia - Wow! signal).

Personally, I hadn't heard about this discovery before, and as such, it was a real eye-opener for me. It reminded me of that movie Contact (Wikipedia - Contact (film)), where scientists listened for radio signals from space, until the day that they actually found something, a signal that repeated a sequence of prime numbers coming from the star Vega.

Anyway, that was all fun stuff to watch, and yada, but when Hawking mentioned that scientists had actually really received a radio signal from space, I was shocked.

Toronto Traffic Gridlock Makes Idling Bylaw a Futile Exercise

The Toronto Vehicle Idling Bylaw is yet another example of Toronto City Leaders wasting taxpayers' money by dedicating time and effort to an exercise that will accomplish absolutely nothing.

I can't even begin to understand this law, as we have thousands of cars that idle in traffic jams for hours all over the city, every single day, multiple times a day, and yet hey, lets go after the cars that idle for 1 minute on the side of the road...
